Volunteering is a big part of being a parent at Salmon Bay School. This page lists three kinds of volunteer opportunity. Ongoing efforts for standing parent and school committees, planned single-event opportunities, and occasional special-project opportunities.

Friends of Salmon Bay (FOSB) Parent Board –monthly meetings, 2nd Thursday @ 7pm

Picture Day– (October) Help students look camera-ready
Lantern Festival and Walk– (December) Decorate stage area with student art work for elementary assembly, & lead evening walk through Salmon Bay Park
Science Fair– (Spring) Promote, set-up and clean-up
Poetry Night– (Spring) Promote, set-up and clean-up
Halloween Parade– (Friday before Halloween) Lead elementary students on a building parade/tour
Family Potluck– (November) Promote, set-up and clean-up
Aloha Potluck– (May) Promote, set-up and clean-up
Ice Cream Social– (June) Held for incoming elementary school families
Staff Appreciation Week– (May) Supply potluck dishes and treats for staff members
