Ski/Snowboard Packing Checklist
Things to Bring Skiing and Snowboarding Every Week
Every student enrolled in the skiing and snowboarding program should bring the following items:
- Skis, boots, pole or board and boots (if you aren’t renting from the rental shop)
- Helmet (Required)
- Wrist Guards if you’re a snowboarder
- Ski goggles
- Warm gloves or mittens (waterproof and warm)
- Liners to go with your mittens (optional)
- Long underwear tops and bottoms, or sweatpants (layer 1)
- Turtleneck sweater (layer 2)
- Sweater, fleece, or sweatshirt (layer 3)
- Warm, dry coat or waterproof parka (it can rain, and it will snow)
- Bibbies, ski pants or waterproof (warm) windpants
- Warm socks plus an extra dry pair to put on in the bus
- Dry clothes to put on in the bus
- Extra food and water for the bus on the way up and down
- Sack lunch and/or money to buy snack in the afternoon
- $1 to buy a soda on the bus
- Bag or backpack to put everything in
- Personal items like medication, lip balm, contact case, etc.
- Cheap watch (you need to know what time it is!)
- Cheap shoes to wear to the rental shop and leave while boarding (If renting from the rental shop)
- Phone number in pocket of and adult who can be reached all day
- Season pass (if you own one)
- Cable lock (there have been thefts in the past)
- IPods/cell phones are ok – but bring at your own risk!
