6th Grade Grades/Report Card
In 6th grade, we use following grading systems:
| Exceeds expectations: | 90% and above |
| Meets Expectations: | 70-89% |
| Below Expectaitons: | 60-69% |
| Unacceptable: | 59% and below |
In the 6th grade program, students receive official report cards from the school or district that state the student has either passed or failed each course. We send home progress reports when students are in jeopardy, which show the assignments for that grading period and the points earned, and any missing work. Many teacher ask that these be returned to class with a signature, so we know that someone at home reviewed the grades. Here is roughly when to expect to see grade reports. We recommend families use The Source as a way to check on student’s progress. Teachers try to update The Source at least once every week.
