Salmon Bay Auction

Every year we hold a (mostly) parents-only dinner and auction to help support school activities.  There's always a theme and attendees are welcome to wear costumes, fancy dress, or what they wear every day.

2012 Auction

This year's auction is on March 31, 2012 at North Seattle Community College Wellness Center.

We're actively seeking donations and sponsorships for the auction.  Here are three ways to participate right now.

Keep an eye on the list below for more auction-related details.

2012 Auction Theme: Lights, Camera, Auction!

A panel of judges voted for their favorite 3 of the 35 ideas submitted, and the one with the most votes was Jodi Russell's idea "Lights, Camera, Auction!". Everyone give Jodi a high five when you see her next, OK? Can't wait to see what Jaci and her crew come up with for decorations and what costumes will be like. Whee!

2012 Auction Donation Form (downloadable version)

Note! There’s now an online version of the Auction Donation Form here.

If instead you’d rather print a copy then download and print the document and then return the completed form to the school.

Scrip

Scrip is a term that means “Substitute Money”. The premise of the scrip program is simple: we purchase gift cards for local vendors at a discount (generally 5% or more), you buy the cards for face value, and 100% of the profit goes to support Salmon Bay programs.

Purchasing Scrip
Scrip can be purchased with cash or check, M-F mornings at the scrip table located in the front lobby of the school, near the main office from 8:15am-8:45am.

Standing Inventory

Items available in our standing inventory are generally cards that
are best sellers, and those that are locally procured: Fred
Meyer/QFC, Safeway, & Starbucks.

Standing Orders
Want the convenience of arranging to purchase scrip on a
recurring basis? We can fulfill regular orders, and can offer
delivery via kidmail, or even drop it by your house.

eScrip – Register Once, Support Automatically!

The eScrip program allows you to support Salmon Bay programs
with minimal effort! Simply go to www.escrip.com, register your
credit or debit cards, and store club cards (club cards require use
of account #, not phone #), and designate Friends of Salmon Bay
as the group you would like to support. Now, every time you shop
at any one of the hundreds of participating merchants using one of
the registered cards, a percentage of your purchase goes directly
to the school!

Fundraising

Salmon Bay Fundraising

Salmon Bay School depends on the generosity of our community members to provide enriched programs. Money raised through our auction, scrip, school store, and direct giving programs supports the school and its students in many ways.

Our parent organization, Friends of Salmon Bay (FOSB), coordinates fundraising programs throughout the school year, giving community members many ways to give and to get involved.

The 2011 Auction raised $82,000, which will be used to augment the school’s budget and provide direct support for both staffing and programs.

To support Salmon Bay through our fundraising efforts, please follow this link or click one of the menu tabs to the right: http://www.salmonbayschool.org/parents/fundraising

Thank you so much!

Direct Giving

You chose Salmon Bay for a reason.  But at the time, you probably didn’t realize that many of the things you loved about Salmon Bay were, in fact, funded by the parent body.

Teachers need your support to continue their tireless work to engage our kids, encourage their love of learning, and ensure their academic excellence. This is especially true in these financially challenging times.  Creating an active learning environment takes an immense amount of time, energy and resources.  Your generous donation will directly affect your children and their education.

Our goal this year is to raise $25,000 by November 30th.   Your donation will impact each and every classroom in each and every grade. We are lucky enough to have a generous Salmon Bay family who has pledged to match the first $10,000 we raise with a $5,000 match.  So when we raise $10,000 we actually raise $15,000!  New this year, you can give a reoccurring gift (quarterly or monthly) with just one click on the Donate Now button!

Please use the button, below, to contribute via Network for Good.  And thank you for choosing Salmon Bay School.  To contribute by check or other ways please click on the direct giving tab to the right or above.
