Open Enrollment Information for Middle School

We want to remind 5th grade families that Salmon Bay School is a public alternative school option for all students (with transportation provided in the Hamilton and Whitman service areas).  Enrollment is based on application, and the Open Enrollment period runs through April 15, 2011. 

Enrollment tiebreakers for Salmon Bay's middle school program are:

  1. Sibling
  2. Special program preference for Thornton Creek 5th graders
  3. Geographic Zone (map available here. )
  4. Lottery

Enrolling in Seattle Public Schools:

Information about enrolling in Seattle Public Schools

Salmon Bay is an Option School.  You will need to apply for a choice assignment in order to enroll in an Option School.  You can find more information here.


All families may apply for placement to Salmon Bay.  Transportation is given to families who live in Hamilton or Whitman reference areas.
 
Enrollment Priority
1)       Sibling
2)       Geographic Zone – (73rd NW, 9th Ave NW, NW Market St and 22nd Ave NW)
3)       Lottery
