8TH GRADE PROJECT UPDATE, OTHERS IGNORE:  Students should show me their second drafts and after conferencing with their mentor adult, they should begin work on the final draft.  The second draft should include a conclusion and citations.  When students check off their second drafts, they will receive a checklist for the final draft which explains the final format and what all should be turned in together.  This week's lunch meeting will be about final drafts, including bibliographies.  This will be the last week of OST classes for 8th grade project; after this all work must be done independently.                                                                                                     Melanie

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VOLLEYBALL TEAM!  On Saturday we beat Jane Addams in 3.  The first game was a back and forth affair; we lost 23-25.  The second game we were down 17-22; they got to 24 then Lisan served the last 8 points with exceptional support from the rest of the team.  One mistake and we would have lost the game and the match!  We won 26-24.  The 3rd game we were in total control and won 15-10.  It was so exciting!                                                Janet

ARE YOU A STUDENT THAT NO LONGER RIDES THE OST (Out of School Time) BUS?  The Transportation department has asked us to delete any students from the OST (Out of School Time) bus if they are no longer riding it.  It is difficult to assign new stops without a lot of time-consuming re-arranging of the current bus routes.  Please help us out by notifying the office if you are not now riding the  bus.                                                                                                                        Marcia/Karen
