Principal's Note

The energy in the building is palpable, can you feel it?

The eighth graders are completing their eighth grade projects and preparing for camp. The MSP testing is over, and the elementary students are looking forward to field day and other end of the year activities.

MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPLORATORY CLASSES:
The Middle School teachers have worked very hard, in developing a list of exciting exploratory class offerings for the 2010/2011 school year.
An exploratory class is designed for all students to develop interest in a particular area and to explore the topic. Ideally, the student would rotate through all exploratory classes in the three years at Salmon Bay. The 6th and 7th graders were asked for their input last week, and we received great feedback. This will allow the middle school staff to offer the best range of exploratory choices. On June 11th the Middle School students will bring home their registration forms for you to assist them in their class selections, based on their interest.

MAP SCORES:
The MAP scores were sent home by kid’s mail on Friday, June 4th. Hopefully you received them. Middle School scores were mailed directly from the district offices.

Please join us in the activities planned for welcoming new families and saying goodbye to our departing families and staff. Check the calendar for dates.
